7) What would people think if they could read your mind?
Jeezus girl whats wrong with you??

Something I never thought I'd say... [Apr. 2nd, 2006|06:06 pm]
Something I never thought I'd say...
Current mood: giddy

(...or... The Incredible Shrinking Grumby...)

...Ready?....

"So, I returned a pair of size 10 jeans today....

Because they are TOO BIG!! - HOLY SHIT!" {8-O

Okay, in all fairness I'm wearing mid-rise jeans now and of the 2 pair I took back, the 10s were bigger than the 11s.... But... I turned around and squeezed into a 7 and you can bet your sweet ASS, I bought 'em! :D

Yes it's true, I've lost a shitload of weight, even I can't deny it at this point since I weighed myself too. I'm not so much bragging as I am kinda weirded out about it... There is no big secret to it I guess. I dont eat crappy fast food like I did, I eat smaller portions, I've limited my sugar caffeine and carb intake and I occupy my time with other things ... But I DO eat food that I want when I want it... So I dont really understand how I've lost this much... But I ain't arguin' with fate!

Next.... What should I do about my hair? Dye it back to brown, re-frost it, layer it, or do something more drastic? (Geez, I can't believe I'm being so girrrrrly)

Shoo

WAY TO GO GRUM!!!! I'm am so proud! (and jealous) :)

Hmmm....I am needing something different in the hair dept. too....maybe we could do some internet research and find one of those websites where we can submit a picture and see what hairstyles look best before actually getting it done?!

Seriously, congrats on the the slimmer you. I know you feel better every single day!

Hmmm, the latter would be harder to do since I don't think he really cared what I did. He was the type that would say "It looks great!" without even looking at it.

I'm a tad limited by the kind of job I have as to how wild I can get, but I've always wanted to try red... Keep in mind that my hair is so long that I can almost sit on it when it's combed out. But I don't want to cut it shorter... Hmm...

Are computers male or female? [Mar. 27th, 2006|03:09 pm]
This is a good one Angela passed onto me today...

A Spanish teacher was explaining to her class that in Spanish, unlike English, nouns are designated as either masculine or feminine.

"House" for instance, is feminine: "la casa."

"Pencil," however, is masculine: "el lapiz."

A student asked, "What gender is 'computer'?"

Instead of giving the answer, the teacher split the class into two groups, male and female, and asked them to decide for themselves whether
"computer" should be a masculine or a feminine noun.

Each group was asked to give four reasons for its recommendation.

The men's group decided that "computer" should definitely be of the feminine gender ("la computadora"), because:

1. No one but their creator understands their internal logic;

2. The native language they use to communicate with other computers is incomprehensible to everyone else;

3. Even the smallest mistakes are stored in long term memory for possible later retrieval; and

4. As soon as you make a commitment to one, you find yourself spending half your paycheck on accessories for it.

(THIS GETS BETTER!)

The women's group, however, concluded that computers should be Masculine ("el computador"), because:

1. In order to do anything with them, you have to turn them on;

2. They have a lot of data but still can't think for themselves;

3. They are supposed to help you solve problems, but half the time they ARE the problem; and

4. As soon as you commit to one, you realize that if you had waited a little longer, you could have gotten a better model.

The women won.

Happy St. Patty's Day... [Mar. 17th, 2006|05:43 pm]
I might not have red hair, but at least my avatar can today. ;)

Image hosting by Photobucket

For some reason, I have always had fairly good luck on St. Patrick's Day. It could be anything from being in such a good mood that nothing gets me down, to lucky in love (got together with my first boyfriend ever back in high school on this day), to doing well on a test or something... I guess you'd say I'm metaphorically the one that finds the four leaf clover.

We'll see what today holds, wish me luck.
--------------------------------------------------------

For now, let's just say... I'm glad that I went where I went tonight and met the people that I did... And that I finally got to dance!... And the offers were awfully flattering. ;)

I think I'll go more often! ...And yes, it was a VERY good day.

Damnit, I got TAGGED!! [Mar. 17th, 2006|02:20 pm]
(Originally posted in MySpace)

A very wicked WICKED monkey tagged me... And now it's my turn to play along... 'cuz I DO that...

The first player of this game starts with the "6 weird/things/habits about yourself" and people who get tagged need to write a blog of their 6 weird habits/things, as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names. Don't forget to leave a comment that says "you are tagged" in their comments and tell them to read yours.

1. I have sung in three operas... No Lie! Once upon a time many many years ago, I was in the Children's Opera Theater and we were featured in, among other things, "Hansel and Gretel", "Mr. Punch" and "Faust".

2. I was kicked out of a biker bar... After having hung out for three months with my roomates and some older guys who just happened to be bikers, the owner finally got the bright idea to card me one night... And I was underage. (Go figure, my best friend worked there and was even younger than me!)

3. I can turn my tongue upside-down.

4. My favorite food is meatloaf and mashed po-tay-toes ... Or better yet, Shepherds Pie (Must be the Irish in me).

5. After having smoked most of my life, I quit smoking January 2, 2005.

6. I am a bit of a nostalgia buff... I love all kinds of old things... Especially concerning local and family history. I have a deep admiration for people that have a passion for doing restoration and preservation.

Now... Who to tag... Hmm...

I tag... CaptBitchy, Tea, J3ff, Carolyn, Cat and Maia!

(Yes, you can make your blog friends only... Cuz I said so.)

Captainbitchy

dammit! Now I have been tagged TWICE!!!

Ok ok , I'll do it ! XP

Last Day in Brooklyn: 2/20 [Feb. 22nd, 2006|08:43 pm]
[mood |accomplished]

CLICK HERE to read this entry with pictures AND links.

--------------------

(I'll be back in a few to put in some more pics)

Once again due to my vast skills of procrastination and easy distraction, I had forgotten to charge my camera batteries overnight and wasted a good amount of time in the morning trying to talk the lil boogers into juicing up quicker plugged into that wall.

Finally we left... We had planned on going to this place that looked really cool and was suggested to me by Todd. We actually kind of enjoyed the cold walk down there (warmer than it had been that weekend, for sure) and were only slightly disappointed when it wasn't open. Their "winter hours" aren't posted on the website and it wasn't supposed to open until 4pm... Drat! Guess I'll have to visit it next time I come up in May!

So, we went on the search for another place to eat and finally settled on a French cafe type place called Bar Tabac. (This review says it has a foozball table, but I didn't notice one).

We both ordered something with a french name that Amy was all too familiar with (and swayed me to go here because they had them), which was actually more or less a french version of an open faced ham and cheese sammich. Since she lives there, she is likely to go back more often for the decently priced salads, she said.

And then we walked back, this time through historic Brooklyn Heights and saw some really cool things.

Two long sleeve shirts and a hoody underneath a jacket and scarf. Did I mention it was cold?

By the way, some of these buildings actually look much like many of the buildings here in the historic Ghent section of Norfolk.

So back we went and chatted while we waited for the taxi service to come pick me up to take me to the airport. It took less than a half hour, but since they are a independent company who is willing to come pick you up, they charge a flat fee of $30. I think next time I will figure out another way of getting to and from LaGuardia.

Nifty picture of inside LGA from the security line.

Took some nifty nightpics of planes and the view and such.

And now I'm home! ...And kinda sad about it, but I missed my cats and they seem pretty glad to have me back too.

That's it! ...Let me know if you have any questions I might have forgotten a few things.

Manhattan & Brooklyn: 2/19 [Feb. 22nd, 2006|10:12 am]
Sunday 2/19

After going to Clark's Restaurant in Brooklyn Heights for brunch, we took the subway to the lower part of Manahattan and visited the World Trade Center site. There are huge work and observation platforms built coming in from the sides of the pit, but besides the occasional souvenier seller, there is little obvious physical evidence of what happened. Those who are close to me know that I 'pick up' on certain things, and surprisingly I didn't sense what I thought I might. The most prominent energy I feel there is of shock and determination with a tinge of repressed anger.

For me that was pretty humbling to think about, and it speaks volumes about the residents and the undeniable spirit of New York City.

We then walked back up the street and visited J&R, Amy's favorite electronics and media store. I stayed out of the computer section to avoid geeking. I'm on vacation after all! Then we took in Chinatown and walked around in Little Italy, stopping in Caffe Palermo for desserts. Mmmmmm! We then went up to Broadway and walked around in the Promenade(?) Mall section. We shopped (probably for several hours) in an Asian market called Pearl River, where I bought tea, an infuser and a clutch bag to match a dress jacket I have at home. I am SO glad they have a website, because I knew I'd be wanting to buy more from them.

By the time we got out it was already dark outside so we headed back towards the subway, and I sadly said goodbye to the streets of Manhattan (I knew that we wouldn't have time to come back since we had plans in Brooklyn that night and the next day). We come back home, dropped our stuff off, walked the dog and went back out to New Mexicali Restaurant on Atlantic Ave for enchiladas (less than $10!) and strong Margaritas!

We carted ourselves home and I fell asleep watching the olympics.

Brooklyn & Manhattan: 2/17-18 [Feb. 18th, 2006|10:15 pm]
[mood |cheerfulcheerful]

Friday- 2/17

Due to my vast procrastination skills I left for the airport in Newport News with less than a half hour for travel time... And miraculously made it an hour ahead of scheduled flight time. Ironically, because of the high winds along the East coast, the 2:55pm flight was delayed and we ended up leaving for LGA at 5:20pm.

It was a comfortable mid-50's in Norfolk when I had left home and the temps in NYC were in the 30's when I arrived. After the $25 taxi ride in rush hour traffic (which I had already expected, no biggee) to my friend's condo, I put on an extra few more layers of clothing and we headed out to Grimaldi's, which reportedly has the "Best pizza in Brooklyn"... And it very well just might!

While we sat there eating our pie, I noticed a stretch limousine parked outside the front door for quite sometime. We figured maybe someone was waiting on a pizza to be brought out, but right as we were about to leave, a large table of people left and another group of 4-5 came in and sat at the table... And one of them was Mike Myers (who is quite cute and rather thin from only 10 feet away, btw... No I didn't stare, and graciously no one else did either).

Saturday - 2/18

We left later than we'd meant to and took the subway out to the American Museum of Natural History. I really wish I had more time to see more of this museum. We spent most of the time seeing the new and/or temporary exhibits... The Galapagos Imax film, Darwin* exhibit, and Planetarium shows, and live Butterfly exhibit (you walk into a huge climate controlled butterfly habitat and butterflies fly around in there at their leisure. (Pix included upon my return). And I really *dug* the dinosaur exhibits.

*I especially liked Darwin's personal notes and LOVED his "For -vs- Against" lists, when he was deciding whether or not to marry his cousin... Ironically, the fact that she was his *first cousin* was evidentally not an issue on either list.

Afterwards, we got some much needed coffee and headed to my Aunt and Uncle-in-law's place for a short visit and to return a family heirloom for safe keeping. The place is BEAUTIFUL!! Ask me later about their view!... Which I *should have* taken a picture of...gah! They invited me to come back when I return in a few months, and I puddled up as I was leaving for reasons I won't go into right now. Wonderful people, that's all I can say.

We took the subway home (btw, according to Intellicast.com it is 18 degrees outside right now and with the wind chill it feels like 6), and instead of walking a ways to go get dinner, we ordered in... Gooooood Italian food from La Traviata, btw.

Tomorrow, we had big plans to go walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. Tempting as it may be, we just may have to wait til warmer weather for this venture. We DO have big plans for tomorrow though. :)

More later...

P.S. The men here are GORGEOUS, btw! 8-}

Valentining solo - After 11 years [Feb. 14th, 2006|12:17 pm]
Okay, so I'm involuntarily single now after 11 years of having been with someone else. And this means this valentines day (as well as every other holiday), I have joined the ranks of the unpartnered....

And actually, it's really NOT so bad...

Valentines day had sucked before. The media has hyped it and turned it into something it's not supposed to be. Celebration of romance should be done every day. Running out and buying last minute candy, flowers or stuffed animals isn't romance, it's fullfilling a perceived obligation. I have probably had more "romantic"! moments with other women in the past 3 months than he had with me in the last 5 years with him. Not sexual... ROMANTIC!

Now go out there and be wonderful to someone.

RIP - Grandpa Munster [Feb. 4th, 2006|05:46 pm]
'Grandpa Munster' Al Lewis Dies at 95

Feb 4, 2:30 PM (ET)

By LARRY McSHANE

NEW YORK (AP) - Actor Al Lewis, the cigar-chomping patriarch of "The Munsters" whose work as a basketball scout, restaurateur and political candidate never eclipsed his role as Grandpa from the television sitcom, died after several years of failing health. He was 95.

Lewis, with his wife at his bedside, passed away Friday night, said Bernard White, program director at WBAI-FM, where the actor hosted a weekly radio program for years. White made the announcement on the air during the Saturday slot where Lewis usually appeared.

"To say that we will miss his generous, cantankerous, engaging spirit is a profound understatement," White said.

So how did YOU celebrate GH Day? I went to dinner with a friend and her kids (one of which whose birthday it was today) and went for a looksee around the mall. I tried on clothes and ended up buying a nice dressy jacket and some jeans (for $10 each!). Yes, they are the low rise ones, I love those things now and won't go back.

I can't believe I wear a SIZE 8 NOW?? Holy Shhhiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii... When I look at them they seem awfully small and then I try them on... It's like some optical illusion or something. I'm all tickled about it.

But I guess the question of the day is... Did I see my shadow and go back to hide in my safe place... Or did I come out, find it to be nice outside and decide to stay awhile? ...I'm still working on the answer to that one.

Your ideal match is someone who'll love you back with equal fire, and someone you've grown to love slowly. A self-involved or pessimistic man is especially bad. Though you're drawn to them, avoid artists at all costs.

Drag Race Led to Fatal Car Crash [Jan. 26th, 2006|09:49 am]
I'm saving this for posterity, more than anything... These newspaper articles seem to disappear after awhile.

This news report concerns the car crash that occured the night before Easter killing my aunt, cousin, cousin's husband, and their two friends (whom I had met once before). Seems like after months and months of investigation, the feds were finally able to prove the obvious. (Actually that's not why it took so long, it's all a legal process) There's actually a few elements that are left out of this article that really made this a cut and dry case.

Drag race led to fatal car crash in Tennessee
By MATTHEW ROY, The Virginian-Pilot
© January 26, 2006

Ten months have passed since five Hampton Roads residents were killed when a car broad-sided theirs in a national park in Tennessee. Now, court papers detail what federal prosecutors say caused the wreck: a drag race that started with strangers revving engines at a stop light, then hurtling toward the victims at speeds of 85 to 100 mph.

The two accused racers each face five second-degree murder counts, and were arraigned Monday in federal court in Tennessee. They could face life in prison. The collision occurred March 26 in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Two couples, Myra Nelson, 64, and George L. Nelson Jr., 80, of Norfolk, and Anthony Dietz, 70, and Betty Dietz, 69, of Virginia Beach, were travel ing together with Myra Nelson’s mother, Audrey L. Fentress, 84. All were killed.

Records of a federal court hearing in Tennessee give this account of what happened:

Two men, Jonathan Matthew Hall, now 19, and Steven A. Williams, now 20, both from Tennessee, were stopped at a traffic light. Engines revved. And the men were soon careening along the a highway known as the Spur. The tourists were crossing the road in a 1997 Chrysler when the racers came upon them. Williams managed to skirt them in his 1996 Nissan 240 SX. Hall’s 1991 Honda Accord slammed into their car. The five were killed almost instantly. Hall and a passenger were not seriously hurt.

Hall’s blood-alcohol concentration was .05 , and he admitted to smoking marijuana an hour before the collision, according to records of testimony at his Jan. 10 bond hearing. Both Hall and Williams appeared in court Monday in Tennessee. A prosecutor said they are expected to be tried later this year. An indictment charges the men with five counts of second-degree murder for showing an “extreme disregard for human life” in the way they drove.

Williams, who a prosecutor said serves in the Army, was released pending trial; Hall was ordered held. A record of the Jan. 10 hearing says he has an extensive record of driving violations. What’s more, he has been charged four more times for traffic offenses since the accident. One case alleges reckless driving, another, driving under the influence and possession of marijuana, the record states.

It says, “Short of incarceration, the magistrate judge does not believe that he can keep the defendant from operating a motor vehicle.”

When it rains it pours... [Jan. 14th, 2006|11:56 pm]
[mood |contentcontent]

(And when it rains, I have to figure out how the heck do I get the windshield wipers to work on this rental car?... Thus the above title?... Get it?.... Badda-bing...) *Insert cricket noises here*

Okay folks! This story is more of a comedy of errors than anything... Please don't mistake this for a bitch session cause I'm actually okay, believe it or not.

After being at the car sales lot all day and evening, I finally leave very very late and drive home, only to find that I've left my purse at the dealer... 30 minutes away. Being that my house keys, money, bank cards, AND the number to the salesperson are ALL in the purse I have NO way to call anyone at all (no I don't have a cell phone). All I can do is drive back to the lot... which I do... to no avail. The place is closed and no one in sight. SO! I drive to a friend's who I just happened to leave my spare key with (accidental brilliant thinking on our parts!), so that I can get in to at least feed my cats. I get home, feed the critters, check my voice mail to get the salesman's cell phone number, and call him to tell him of my plight. He is home in the dark without electricity (did I mention it's raining?), and the car sales place is closed tomorrow... *Maybe* he can get someone out there tomorrow to let me in...

(No purse = no cash, no access to money, no way into work, no access to important phone numbers, or anything else that seemed important enough to stay with me at all times)

Ya know.... If this had happened 3 months ago, I probably would have been cryin' and bitchin' and moanin'... But suddenly, nothing really bothers me that much... All thing considered, I am very lucky.

However comma - Today I signed a promissory note to purchase my vehicle, which will be known to a chosen few of you... Why didn't I take it home today? Bank is closed til tuesday and nothing I can do about it... But they know I'm good for it. ;) There is an incredibly ironic twist to my story too - Which those of you on my MySpace friends list will find out all about as soon as it's a done deal...

Current mood: shocked

So I get this really loud knock on my door at 4am. I peek out the front window and see my truck sitting sideways in the middle of the road facing another car and a police car with people standing around.

While I was asleep, somebody fell asleep behind the wheel and plowed into my parked truck this morning, totalling it... What the FUCK kind of bad karma am I burning off?? Yes the guy and his passenger are okay (relatively, they both hit the windshield of their car even when the airbags inflated), that was my first question when I realized what had happened... I even hugged them both and told them I was just glad they were okay, and that I completely understood what trying to run off NO sleep for days and days was like (the guy works for a hospital and had slept 4 hours in the past 3 days... this is the kind of accident I had been afraid Quentin or his non-sleeping gf would have been in when they were working graveyard). The police officer was a total dick and acted like he wanted to leave before the tow trucks came to get the vehicles AND left the driver and his passenger behind with me on a dark street... I actually called a cab for them so they could get home.

Anyway, I actually have to wait until after 7am to call my insurance company again so I can figure out how to get a rental car. I am still in shock from this. I dont know what I'm going to do, I know my insurance isn't going to give me shit for a 1991 Mitsubishi Mighty Max pickup truck. My little truck was low maintenance and reliable and one of my few joys in life, really. It was my key to freedom and independence. Ironically, it had just failed its yearly inspection because it needed tie-rods replaced and I was waiting for the parts to come in... Guess I'll have to cancel that.

If "everything happens for a reason", when the HELL is the good part going to happen? I'm really sick of this nightmare I'm stuck in...

I'm going to have to finish this later, my sister is now going to come get me at 7am and take me to work (really friggin early) so she can get to her work on time.

Never mind "why me".... just plain... "What... the... fuck... !?!?!"

Added 7pm:

What was left of the grill was pulled off by the tow truck driver in an attempt to seperate the vehicles. Despite how ugly it looks, it kills me to think that my friend here of over 13 years is going to sit in a junk yard somewhere and be picked to death piece by piece for parts. Like a lame animal being scavenged by vultures when it's not even dead yet. What a huge fucking WASTE of a damned good truck. Saying goodbye to my truck is like saying good bye to an old friend that I thought I'd have forever... And seeing what's been done to him and not being able to do a damned thing about it just kills me. I have no idea what I'm going to do.

(And yes I have a rental car... It's very cute and kicks ass.)

And knowing you, I wouldn't have expected you to act any other way to the guy. I am so sorry. I can completely understand and will as always reassure you that it will get better. This is only temporary and you should check your Kelly blue book value, so that you don't get cheated by the insurance companies. (I am sure that being a sensible woman you have already done this though.) It is only a matter of life reconstruction....for some bizarre reason to get anything really awesome we must first rid/cleanse our lives of things that hold us back or have strange attached memories that hold us back. Some times it is better that life/Karma/the cosmic (also known as the seismic, because of how destructive it can be) shakes these things off for us, because in being sentimental creatures would never shake it off for ourselves. So toss on a new outlook, cherish your trucks memories and look for something more in the vein of the new and improved Grumby. (PS. found a nice hottie yet?) Remember for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Sometimes this is all too hard to see while we are sitting in the middle of it, but down the road it all looks completely better.

The ballad of phlegm... [Jan. 4th, 2006|03:56 pm]
(Posted originally on MySpace Wednesday, January 04, 2006

The ballad of phlegm...

Woke up the day after xmas with a scratchy throat... No biggee. But soon the phlegm came... and the stopped up sinuses... and the sinus pressure from hell... and the ears that wouldn't pop... and the feeling that I had just lost all the strength that I had left. Believe it or not, I could deal with all of this! I had my friends Dayquil, Nyquil and Sudaphed to keep me company and the almost daily kick in the ass of a fizzy EmergenC suppliment... Not to mention the diet of chicken soup and orange juice.

But yesterday, I realized the phlegm was now in my lungs and I couldn't quite cough it out anymore. fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck. I need to get this shit out of my system, I have too many friends with children and babies that I don't want to have to avoid for fear of phlem transmission.

So I went to the neighborhood doctor... Expecting a "Sorry, it's a cold. Drink lots of liquids and here's some decongestant"... But noooOOOooooo...

My "cold that went too far" is now Bronchitis... I get an inhaler and antibiotics, something stronger than zithromax apparently... I get free samples of Ketek (Telithromycin).... Coolio! I have no idea why, but it almost seems like an accomplishment to be deemed worthy of antibiotics... Rather than a brush off... (shrug)...

So... I called in sick to work this morning, took another Nyquil and didn't wake back up again until after 3pm when the phone rang... Holy Hell! But on the bright side, I'm feeling slightly better. Four more days of antibiotics to go.

(And btw, I was told about a visit they had received at the doc's office... Mwahahahahahah!!!...Yes, it IS who you think it is)

Okay, must get back in bed. Sorry I haven't been more posty lately.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (messed up my own quiz) [Dec. 27th, 2005|12:40 pm]
Btw, it has come to my attention that several of my answers on my grumby quizzle should not be counted. For instance my last "what one thing would grumby like to say to Q's new girlfriend" could quite possibly be answered with "C"... "just think, if he gets tired of you he could always move onto your twin sister.. If he hasn't already."

...That and I saw Harry Potter atgof yesterday... It was definitely my least favorite of the series and seemed lacking. No, I never read the books, so I don't know WHAT was lacking. I just know that it didn't flow well. It seemed awkward and there wasn't enough character development/introduction. I don't know if it was the direction or what exactly, but the characters seemed very incidental ... There seemed to be less heart and humor.

...Although I must admit the Weasley twins were hot...(What the HELL is wrong with me...?)

Yikes! I'm feeling like one of those dirty old men that drool over the Olsen twins... (shudder)

Okay the Olsen twins were like 14 years old when those old men were drooling over them, so yes that was disgusting. But the Boys are nineteen, quite literally adults, well past the age of consent, and I am quite sure capable of thoughts if anyone dare to talk to them. I find 19, a bit young for my taste, normally. Let them get another year on their life expierences and they are fair game. LOL
See pretty young things + divorced, mature, more experienced woman = Happy times. Dear me, am growing up to be MS. Robinson, without the married part. LOL

Tea, you are SO my hero...

You know, it occurs to me that after a male-dominated media-hyped society has implied and demanded that women remain young looking and that men can look as old as they want... That perhaps it is a karmic justice that these young looking women, who suddenly get dumped by self-important self-serving trophy seeking jackasses, should get pick and choose of young twenty somethings as they make themselves available...

I need to go to France, damnit.... Maybe Italy...

Important Update... [Dec. 23rd, 2005|12:18 pm]
IMPORTANT UPDATE!!:

"My Ex is an asshole" stuff will continue to go here: http://www.livejournal.com/users/grumby/
while my regular everyday blog stuff will now go HERE!: http://www.livejournal.com/users/grumbada/

I hate thinking that if/when I comment on other people's LJ entries that they might click back to see mine and watch me bitterly writhing in my own agony... Yikes!... So screw it, Grumbada will comment while Grumby can hash out her emotions...

Thus concludes grumby/grumbada's speaking of herself in the 3rd person...

I got a 50 too (I hope you're grading on a curve).

And yes, the Wolf has finally joined MySpace. I figured I'd better before someone else took my "identity".

Travelin'... [Dec. 17th, 2005|01:05 pm]

Travelin'...

Good News! I may be getting a much needed change of scenery soon.

In the next few months, I may be riding along with a friend down to Florida, and then I may go to NYC once or twice between now and May. I really hope so, I need to get out of here, I don't need to be surrounded by the same things every day... And damnit, NYC is always a well needed kick in the pants.

Me at the Empire State Building several years ago... Crappy pic, yes I know. I had gone up there to help out my friend Amy who was doing a one-woman one-act play during the International Fringe Festival. Now she's graduating from Law school.... Gotta love NYC. :)

I would say a change of scenery is JUST what the doctor ordered. Go, have a BALL. You certainly deserve it, darlin'.

If you want a stop-over place on the way to FL - just give us a call. We'd love to see you - and we have PLENTY of room.

cat

And a lunch or dinner at Jekyll and Hyde's will provide a little "haunt" break so don't forget to stop in there, it's right next to the park ;)

Of course should you make it to Tampa, you're ALWAYS welcome to hang with the B2. It would be my honor.
